Lindsay Doesn’t Need to be Heroic

Prosecutors offered to end the 26-year-old actress’ probation violation/lying-to-the-police cases in exchange for 90 days under house arrest, after an initial plea bargain that would have required her spend six months in lockdown at a rehab facility.

Sources told the gossip news site that Lohan’s attorney is trying to negotiate a shorter amount of time under house arrest, but the troubled starlet still doesn’t think she did anything wrong, and is willing to face up to 19 months in jail if her case goes to trial.

Lindsay Lohan’s best solution would be to pay the lawyers to show her the way out of the swamp.  They should point out where the poisonous snakes and crocodiles are.

It isn’t Lindsay’s job to drain the swamp.  The swamp (the courts, laws, and police) needs to be drained, but is not her job.  Lindsay doesn’t need to be heroic.

We need to stop electing lawyers to represent us if we want to clean up the legal system/courts and laws.  ‘Punishment’ should be proportional to harm done, for example.  Prophylaxis should be used for dangerous repeat offenders.  Morality should not be policed or regulated.  The court system should be fast, truthful and not used to enforce some ignorant politicians’ moral code (which is based on polls of his ignorant constituents)

Is the Right to Vote Worth a Cup of Coffee?

Originally the question was “Is my right to vote worth the taxes I’m paying?” Then I asked myself if it was worth a cup of coffee. Some presidential elections have been decided by a few hundred votes in certain states. In Massachusetts, my vote has never even been close to deciding an election. Nobody in office anywhere was helped by my vote.

Perhaps in the grand scheme of things democracy contributes something, but it’s hard to see. The best ‘democracy’ to me would be one where I had the choice of where to pay my taxes. Even a ‘democracy’ where I moved to another state to enjoy their government would be preferable to this out of control government that we can’t effect or cause intelligent change.

A lottocracy where all the college graduates were put into a pool from which representatives were randomly selected would be infinitely better. The over forty crowd has a lot to contribute, especially if literate, diversified and intelligent.

The other necessary reform to democracy is to separate the vote from benefits. Nobody should vote for anything that brings government money to themselves or their cronies.

Current democracies aren’t worth a cup of coffee. Democracies are better than dictatorships, which usually have negative worth, but aren’t worth a cappuccino to most of us.

Let the peaceful people secede

Joe Biden said:

“Guess what? A shotgun will keep you a lot safer, a double-barreled shotgun, than the assault weapon in somebody’s hands [who] doesn’t know how to use it, even one who does know how to use it,” the outspoken vice president, a shotgun owner himself, replied. “It’s harder to use an assault weapon to hit something than it is a shotgun. You want to keep people away in an earthquake? Buy some shotgun shells.”

Hasn’t anybody ever heard of the Hatfields and the McCoys? Has nobody studied the history of Sicily or the Wild West?

Isn’t it a bit paranoid to have guns to protect yourself against intruders? I thought you were supposed to be sane to have a gun!

Get a big dog and an alarm system if you’re worried about intruders. Move to a nice suburban town.

I have a friend that owns a half dozen single shot guns. He’s in the woods surrounded by bears, wild boars, ten foot water moccasins, coyotes and other dangerous wild life. I would own a few weapons in that situation too.

I, however, don’t like the idea of being potential target practice for children and crazy people with assault weapons.  Nor do I wish to shoot anyone.  I really want to disconnect from a gun crazy society.  Let the peaceful people secede.  Let the peaceful people form their own little communities.

Save humanity one little community at a time

From Obama’s speech:

“The most evident of truths – that all of us are created equal – is the star that guides us still,” he said. “Just as it guided our forebears through Seneca Falls, and Selma, and Stonewall.”

Of course we aren’t all equal. In fact this is an insult. This statement implies that in spite of all our skills, education, knowledge, and training, we are equal to everybody else. We are equal to everybody except those given wealth or position. We are the equals of everybody but the wealthiest 5%, the judges, the politicians, and the stars. Ability has nothing to do with the equation. All are equal to all.

It’s the way government puts us down and controls us. You see, only the hierarchy is important. People don’t value knowledge. People go to schools and universities not to learn but to ascend the hierarchy. But the blatant disregard for ability, skill, knowledge and talent is defeating genetics and competition in defining the future human. We are all being domesticated by the hierarchy and the kings, queens, princes, princesses, dukes and others of the false hierarchy shall continue to rule over us.

Disconnect from governments and form little groups. Endeavor to make them Utopian. That is the only way to save humanity. Save humanity one little community at a time. Leave this one size fits all world.

Obama Speech Shows Dystopian Elements

An excerpt from Obama’s speech follows:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama’s inaugural address on Monday marked the first time a president used the occasion to praise progress on gay rights, an indication of shifting public attitudes on the issue.

In the speech marking the start of his second term, Obama placed the struggle for gay rights squarely in the pantheon of two other defining civil rights movements in American history: those for blacks and women.

The most evident of truths – that all of us are created equal – is the star that guides us still,” he said. “Just as it guided our forebears through Seneca Falls, and Selma, and Stonewall.”

Have you ever heard of middleclass rights? Probably not. They are described by the tenth amendment:

Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

Blacks, gays and women have those same unlisted, un-enumerated rights. If a president thinks that any special group has any special rights, he is not presidential material. Certainly our rights should be enumerated by amendment 10. We have the right to life, to breath, to drink, to have consensual sex, to eat, to speak and to not hear speakers.

If the 5% of the people that are gay had their rights violated by anybody, it was by the tax laws that didn’t give them the right to certain deductions. Government was the bigot. Of course the tax laws shouldn’t even include income taxes on the middle class. The entire middle class has their rights continuously violated by taxes. The entire middle class is and always has been raped and plundered by government.

That other Obama statement: “The most evident of truths – that all of us are created equal” is obviously incorrect and always has been considered incorrect. The truth is that government should give us equal rights and protect our rights equally. It was important that Obama say this. That he didn’t, doesn’t say much about the man.

Utopias in America – a government site

Utopias in America – a government site.

This government site explains the concept well.  Note that there are other sites such as Plymoth Plantations, Sturbridge Village, Jamestown and Williamsburg that describe the Utopian concept in early America.  Note that not all of these Utopias were socialistic.   The Puritan work ethic held that hard work was fun if not Utopian.

The billionaires have their own Utopias, so we aren’t going to  sit around and wait for them to help fund a large Utopia.  Right now I know of ten families that are eagar to start an experimental Utopian community down in Nevada.   We are looking for land as I write.

We welcome all that believe that society can be better.

Massachusetts is a One Party System

Massachusetts Republicans in office (From Wikipedia)

Membersof Congress

  • None

U.S. Senate

  • None (after Elizabeth Warren is sworn in)

Statewide offices

  • None

Four points define a volume, three points define a plane, two points define a line, one point defines only a point.

A true democracy, a democracy with volume, needs 4 political parties each supported with over 20% of the voters.  Massachusetts is run by only one political party.  Massachusetts, as a one party state, has no more of a democracy then those dictatorships where everybody votes only for the dictator or his party.

Even if Massachusetts had two viable political parties, they would still need two more to break the fallacy of too few choices.  Massachusetts needs four viable political parties, not two and certainly not one.  Having a two party system is not really a solution, Massachusetts and America needs four viable political parties – each supported with at least 20% of the population – to be a real democracy.  We are back to the days when we were represented by the English, when we said we had taxation without representation.

Our one party system, for example, has brought us a flat line tax where the billionaires pay a smaller percentage than the workers (who have to pay sales taxes).   The workers in Massachusetts need most of their income for necessities, property taxes and sales taxes.  The small percentage left over after the necessities is consumed by the flat tax.  Meanwhile the billionaires, with most of their money still left after spending for necessities, pay at the same rate.

The democratic party in  Massachusetts seems to represent the billionaires.  Republicans aren’t needed.  Is a one party system a democracy?

Lizzy Warren took an ax and gave Scott Brown 40 whacks.  I don’t like either party which is why I would prefer a four party system or a lottocracy.   Heck, put the class presidents of all the universities in a lottary and select our representatives from them.  The results would have to be better than what we have.

Republicans and Democrats represent but two Viewpoints

Republicans and Democrats represent but two points on the political spectrum.  If you remember from sophomore geometry, two points only define a line.  It takes three points to define a plane.  It takes four points to define a solid.  It takes five points to define a solid over time.  The line defined by the Liberal Democrats and the Conservative Republicans is defines a line.  The American people contain a wealth of ideas.  The beliefs of the American people comprise a volume.  America is a volume, not a plane and certainly not a line or a point.

An attempt is made in this blog to represent some of the other points/ideas not contained in the Republican/Democratic ideologies.  Certainly all of our beliefs are not contained in the laws.  The laws don’t define right and wrong in systematic manner.  The laws define the punishments for non-conformity to the dictates of the line that connects the beliefs of the Republican party to the beliefs of the Democratic party.  This line establishes, in primitive form, the rights of government, the wealthy,  the lawyers and one minority.

The Utopian States champions beliefs with volume.  The Utopian States believes, for example, that it is the government’s job to protect the rights of all the people.  It is not the job of the people to protect the rights of government.  This is just one example of a policy with volume as opposed to the point system of laws embraced by our primitive government.

We have laws that protect police officers and government employees from any “unwanted touching” by others and will brand the people who do this “unwanted touching” as dangerous felons.  Unless the person doing this “unwanted touching” pays a lawyer $20,000, he will be branded a felon for the rest of his life.  He will find it difficult to get loans, jobs or justice after the “unwanted touching”.  He may go to jail for a few years.  Just one example of how government protects itself rather than the people.

The movie ” Les Miserables” is a parable the whole world needs to understand is a current problem and not an irrelevant story of a brief moment in our past.  ” Les Miserables” has volume, it is not a point in time and space.

Let’s govern the volume, not the point.

The Recipe for Making a Mass Murderer

It’s simple really.

Ann Blake Tracy, PhD has studied Prozac for ten years. She researched 32 murder cases involving women and their children. In 24 of the cases, the women were taking Prozac or another SSRI. (http://bspiritualonesdeepknowledge.runboard.com/p1683)

1.) Have your child take an SSRI like Prozac.

2) Let your child play for days with those video games where he shoots other people.

3) Give your child access to assault weapons.

4) Don’t treat your child’s withdrawal from society except by medication.

5) Enable his anger.  Agree with his hostility.

6) Don’t interest him in any worthwhile activities.

7) Don’t be happy around him.  Be serious all the time.

8) Blame him and others.

9) Make punishment the frequent solution.

10) Make him a nerd.

11) And, most importantly, never praise him for his achievements and worthwhile accomplishments.

The Newtown Shooting Angers Us

Why should those that want assault rifles and guns be able to enforce them on the rest of us that no not want them included in their nation?

I was first introduced to the M16 when I was training to be an officer back in 1967. I remember the demonstration. The standard 30 caliber weapon was fired into a metal gallon can filled with water. The exit hole was the size of a nickel. The M16 was fired into a similar gallon can of water and blew the back of the can off. The implication was that the M16 would blow your head off if it hit there. The M16 might also take off an arm or leg if it impacted there. The M16 might blow all the internal organs out of a child if it hit in the torso. I lost interest in guns at that point and have never owned or fired one since.

I don’t want to live in any nation that’s nuts enough to allow assault rifles. I think that the manufactures of these weapons should be sued a billion dollars for the damage done in Newtown.

If people want these weapons, let them have their own nation. I don’t want to enforce my anti-assault weapon views on the dystopians. More importantly, I don’t want them to use the rest of us for target practice. If M16’s are necessary for the happiness of the gun cult, let them have them in their own nation. Allow them to secede or vice versa.

I don’t mind bolt action guns or single shot pistols. If a gun nut goes nuts with a single shot gun, he can be over-whelmed after only one shot – while reloading. The vintage muzzle loading rifle of the revolutionary war era is even more preferable. These would be the weapons of utopians, if any.

Utopia should not be forced on any.  One homogenous nation can never be anything but dystopia for the majority.  However, one nation of fifty different states can be utopian as people can move to the state with the laws that they enjoy.  The states should be required to be different.  One state should allow gun nuts.  Another state should be allowed to be socialistic.  Another state should allow same sex marriages.  Forcing homogenous beliefs on all of us is dystopian.  I believe in very few of Washington’s cherished mores and ideals.  United we stand, divided we fall is not one of those beliefs.

With today’s technology, weapons can be prevented from crossing state lines.  The national goverment can enforce weapons from being carried from one nation to another.  The interstate transportation of weapons can be electronically prevented by requiring that all guns have identifying chips inserted which cannot be legally removed.
